What’s included in Weekly Support

All of the services below are part of the ongoing Weekly Support Partnership. Each is tailored to your goals and how your brain works best.

Community & Home Support

Day-to-day life involves a lot of moving parts — routines, appointments, paperwork, household tasks. For neurodivergent adults, these things can feel harder than they “should,” and that’s okay. This service provides practical, consistent support where you need it most.

What this can include:

  • Building and maintaining daily routines that actually stick
  • Support with appointments (preparation, transport, being there)
  • Life admin — forms, phone calls, emails, bills
  • Navigating community activities and social situations
  • Cooking, cleaning, and household task support
  • Transport and getting out into the community
How this is different

This isn’t someone coming in and doing things for you or telling you what to do. It’s collaborative problem-solving — figuring out what makes tasks hard and building strategies that work for your brain, not against it.

At a glance

  • In-home and in the community
  • 1-on-1, personalised sessions
  • Weekly, fortnightly, or as-needed
  • $60/hour via Manawanui

In-Home Design & Organisation

Your environment has a massive impact on how well you function. Sensory overload, visual clutter, and disorganisation aren’t just inconveniences for neurodivergent people — they can completely derail your day.

What this can include:

  • Designing sensory-friendly spaces (lighting, noise reduction, visual calm)
  • Creating organisation systems matched to how you think
  • Setting up “launch pads” and routines for key transitions (leaving the house, bedtime)
  • Decluttering support — at your pace, with your decisions
  • Executive function systems (visible reminders, task stations, labelling)
  • Kitchen and meal-prep organisation
How this is different

This isn’t a generic home organisation service. Every system is designed around how your specific brain processes information, handles transitions, and manages executive function challenges.

Great for

  • Sensory overwhelm at home
  • Difficulty staying organised
  • Trouble starting or finishing tasks
  • Moving into a new space
  • Wanting a calmer home environment

Specialised Shopping Support

Shopping can be overwhelming. Bright lights, crowds, decision fatigue, unexpected changes — it all adds up. This service takes the chaos out of shopping while keeping you in control of your choices.

What this can include:

  • Pre-planning shopping trips (lists, timing, store selection)
  • Sensory management strategies (quieter times, specific routes)
  • Decision support without taking over your choices
  • Budgeting and price comparison assistance
  • Grocery shopping, clothing, household items, and more
  • Online shopping support as an alternative
How this is different

We don’t just go shopping with you — we pre-plan to reduce overwhelm, identify sensory-friendly times, and support your decisions without making them for you. You stay in charge of every choice.

Common challenges

  • Sensory overload in stores
  • Decision fatigue and overwhelm
  • Impulse spending (ADHD tax)
  • Forgetting items or losing focus
  • Anxiety about crowds and noise

Goal Setting & Accountability

Having goals is one thing — knowing where to start is another. Neurodivergent brains are great at big-picture thinking but can struggle with the steps in between. This service bridges that gap with modern tools designed for how you think.

What this can include:

  • Identifying what matters to you and defining meaningful goals
  • Breaking big goals into brain-friendly steps
  • Setting up Trello boards for visual task management
  • AI-assisted planning to organise thoughts and priorities
  • Regular check-ins for accountability (without judgement)
  • Adapting systems when life changes or priorities shift
How this is different

This isn’t just writing goals on paper. We use Trello for visual tracking, AI tools to assist with planning, and regular check-ins that focus on progress — not perfection. Systems designed for neurodivergent brains, not neurotypical expectations.

Tools we use

  • Trello — Visual task boards
  • AI Planning — Organising ideas
  • Regular Check-ins — Accountability
  • Flexible Systems — Adapts to you
